S2.1: Offering a new business service (e.g., consulting, hardware repair) at an existing site

Use the following PlanIT and SAM Advisors to develop the iT plan for the new service:

  • Enterprise Modeller to build model of the existing site of the existing company. Only define one site and select the business functions (BFs) that will be done at the said site and by the new service (e.g., consulting). If the new service does not exist in the industry pattern, please add it by using EM. Also include BFs that will need to be interfaced with the existing company.
  • Application Advisor to determine an application plan for the site with focus on new service that shows what will be automated, what automation strategy will be used (buy, rent, outsource, develop, extend) and what application packages will be used.
  • Platform Advisor to determine the computing hardware and software plan  needed for the site plus the new service
  • Network Advisor to determine the wired/wireless network plan for the site plus the new service
  • Security Advisor for securing the site plus the new service
  • Project Planner to develop a work breakdown structure, Gant charts and staffing estimates needed to support the new service
  • Consolidated report to generate extensive documentation that contains the IT plan for the new service at the existing site
